Volvo Diesels in the US soon
Last Updated:
Volvo will have a plug in Hybrid model on sale in Europe for 2012.
With US sales following soon after.
I can’t really imagine that being cheap. Volvos are pretty pricey to begin with…
But Diesels will come sooner, which could mean next year.
I guess, like it or not, diesels will finally catch on in the US.
With new corporate average of 35.5 MPG required by 2016, most European manufacturers will be pushing their diesels in the US.
While most car makers from Japan will be pushing Hybrids…
Good for US user that Volvo Diesels will come soon
I'll take a diesel over a hybrid any day. But the euro makers need to bring over their reasonably advanced units. VW was offering that 1.9tdi with 90 to 100 hp for years after they were already producing >150hp units in europe.
I saw a C30 on the road today…it was exciting! Then I came back to reality. I've seen more Hyundai Elantra Tourings on the road than this.
Nissan Too….Nissan/Renaults european clean – burn diesel technology will be here soon in many Nissan models.
I, too, would rather have a diesel than a Hybrid.
I'd take a diesel Focus, or a CR-V.
I would like to see a Diesel Toureg here in north america.
I would buy it one the first day of its launch.
