More pictures of the new large Kia sedan.
And still very impressive. The interior manages to also be pretty original.
Good for them.

Wow, very Audi like style. Good for them!
SCORE !!! for Kia
Good job Kia.
This car is soo sweet and is gonna make Kia lots of money, lets hope its priced right–under camry accord, malibu… alot of people dont realize this car doesn't replace anything, the new Amanti replacement is rear wheel drive based off the Genisis and will be moved upmarket from the current amanti pricing.
Kia world forums has new pics of the K 5 or the replacement for the optima and thats gonna be just as sweet as this, but lower priced, and the new accent is well under development but where in the hell is the new rio ???
Audi-inspired tail lights…
This has the new Volvo S60 front, and an Audi back. Way to go Kia….if you are going to copy a design at least copy it nicely…..and you have done just that! Kudos. Because Lord knows the Kia Amanti was a fugly copy of the Jaguar S-type.
That actually looks like a really nice car. A little invisible, but nice nonetheless. Like an Audi and the new Regal had a lovechild.
Powertrain? FWD or RWD?
Where has this been all my life?
Vince, this is crazy. Kia is ripping off Audi almost to the millimeter. Of course it is impressive, the work has been done for them. Stop encouraging this by praising these creative parasites.
Well, considering the man who designed this also designed the current range of Audis, it's no surprise that there are "Audi" influences in its design.
This is a WIN. Hyundai/Kia have been on a role, and this is the latest example that the Japanese should start shitting their pants because the Koreans are making as reliable stuff that's much better looking!
Pretty good. Cant see a line on it that looks totally stupid.
This is crazy Vince…Kia is ripping off Peterbuilt right down to the millimeter.
The dash is wierd and too glossy.
The grill looks like a bent up paper clip and the dash looks like a big black hole. Not impressive to me.
Finally, much better than the crappy Chrysler 300-Mercedes-Lincoln Town Car looking Amanti.
But way to copy the AUdi's rear lights.

Ummm, an ex-Audi chief designer was responsible for this Kia and many other upcoming vehicles.
Do some research before you start to type next time.

This is NOT a Camry, Accord, Fusion fighter. This IS the new Amanti which is larger and more luxurious.
The upcoming Optima is competition for the above mentioned vehicles, and it will be priced below them.
Very nicely done, but put the Kia emblem in the grill instead of on the hood.
this is the clincher for me – I have absolutely no reservations to puchase a Kia/Hyundai. These cars are absolutely stunning – this Kia takes the cake IMO. Just wish they would come out with a sport wagon (so I can replace my Volvo).
Well, it looks as if the downfall of Toyota didn't need the help of Kia and Hyundai anyway….their MAJOR accelerator flaw (the floor mat recall is a flat out LIE) is going to kill them first, if only they were more upfront about their problem like Audi YEARS ago, this could have ended just as quickly as it started, but this will escalate because they refuse to fix the issue (as in making the accelerator cut off when the brake is applied like in current VWs, Audis, and a few other brands).
Holy Crap, that car is gorgeous! The Big 2.1 and the Japanese really have something to worry about..
My only beef (and I'm nit picking) is the name. It sounds too much like a piece of furniture..
Wow. The auto biz has gotten so competitive that cars from crappy brands like Kia are looking okay. It might look like a knockoff Audi, but I would never own a Kia. But at least this won't be the visual garbage that we're accustomed to seeing. Toyota is screwed.
The 'mouth' opening needs a few chrome bars to make it nicer. And the name has to go. No one wants to drive around a big desk. To play in the big boy league, the name should be alphanumeric. 🙂
korean junk. I had a kia 3 years ago. it was horrendous. I was powerwashing it, as i have many previous cars, and the paint flew off. Garbage. That was the icing on the cake, many more issues prior to that happening. That afternoon, I traded it on a Nissan Altima 2.5 sl, in Smoke Grey. It has been perfect.
Wherez Kia taking the cake to?
I love dullard cliches.
To play in the big boy league, the name should be alphanumeric. Big Boy League? Like Rolls-Royce Ghost? and Navigator? and Escalade? and Quattroporte? Or little boy league, like Mazda 6, or BMW 3, or Pontiac G6? Or the A4?
When the Koreans try to copy Audi…voila!

UMMM, UMMM, UMMM…. As a consumer that matters to me how? Knockoff LV products and parts are produced in many of the same Chinese factories as authentic LV bags. It's still a knockoff. The designer who left for Kia nearly four years ago, is producing a knockoff with identical tail light and headlamp cues from new Audis that are less than a year old. If he took these pre-production design plans with him when he left, then he's a thief. And so is Kia.
Fake Audis will be cruising with music blasting in your finest ghetto in 2011.
The consumer cares about what Kia copied how? I hope the Chinese make a Ferrari F430 knockoff at $20K.

No LV bags or any of their components are made in China, your theory is fatally flawed.
This is public knowledge that you can search for yourself on the Internet.
Nice try though killer.
And besides if you think Kia is a theif than so is Mitsubishi's Lancer and Toyota Tundra for copying the VW Iroc concept.
No Kia isnt a thief. They are just rubbish.
The Kia Castanza.
So is VW for stealing The Iroc name from the Camaro.
So is Honda for taking the Scion XB's back end and putting it on their Jeep like Pilot's back end.
So is Mercedes for taking cues from the Highlander and using it to make the CLK class.
Ohhh my turn my turn. So is Jeep for taking the side profile of the Mazda 3, Outlander and Vibe and putting the side profile on the Campass.
So is GM for taking the 06' Altima's roofline and using it for the G8.
So is Infinti for taking the LaCross's design and making it for the 2011 M sedan
So is Mazda for taking the Ridgeline's headlights and putting it on their new Tribute.
So is Honda for taking the greenhouse from the Aveo and putting it on the Fit.
So is Infinti for taking the 2002 Legacy Sedan's greenhouse and using it for the 2004 M sedan.
Hmmm, ain't no one saying nothing now.
Hey this is fun!! Let's keep this going.
So is Nissan for taking the XL7's face and using it for the faclifted Nissan Rouge's face.
So is Chevy for taking the Mercedes M class and using it for the new Equinox.
