2011 Kia Optima

Based on the new Hyundai Sonata platform, the all new Optima manages to have its own design.
So far it looks great. It can be done. A good looking and modern mid sized sedan.
It seems that everyone knows how to do it now. Or almost…
I guess Honda and Toyota are hard at work on the next Accord and Camry…
It almost looks like the c pillar on an old Porsche 944. Kudos to Kia.
I think toyota & honda have got their work cut out for them. Keeping up with Hyundai/Kia won't be easy.
That's beginning to look like a car I'd want to buy.

I'm afraid of Kia.. This company is clearly on the verge of world-domination.

Now Hyundai has copied the Ford Taurus fender vent. Is it riding on Prius wheels? Very sad.
Honda + Toyota are ALWAYS hard at work on the next Accord and Camry.
Doesn't mean the end result is always successful.
New cars don't happen overnight. I would imagine that they have a pretty good idea what the new ones will look like and drive like.
Same with Kia + Hyundai. I would imagine there's already a team exploring what to do for the NEXT ones.
front end is raised and rear end is slouched as if the motor had been removed. maybe it has. hahaha, problems already. If not, what the hell would that age like, and/or feel like on the road. I don't trust hooday/keeya

If you took a look at a last gen. Hyundai Tiburon (how you call it), you would then have an idea where Ford Taurus got it from. Really sad.

While Kia is making some great cars, I definitely wouldn't go that far at all.
Honda still dominates when it comes to the Fit, Civic, CR-V, and Accord.
Nothing that Kia produces comes close to the dynamics, quality, or overall experience that the above vehicles offer.

Oh please you know how many cars have side grilles these days? (If it were a Toyota, you wouldn't have said that).
Besides the Ford 500 body style came from the Audi A6. As for Prius wheels that's corny all tires are round Firestone, Goodyear.
And while you want to get on this looking like a Prius get your looks right. The Leaf and Insight look like a prius while your on this car's wheels.

I frankly could care less if Honda is better than Kia. But the question isn't if Honda is better. Is Toyota better than Honda. People seem to forget Honda and Toyota are not teams their rivals. Which is better?
It's easy to place Kia not being as good as Honda. But what about between the Hondas and Toyotas. That's put those out there.
When the Genesis came out people said, "It's not better than Lexus or Acura"

You are talking about INITIAL QUALITY which means absolutely NOTHING. I care about long term quality because I don't buy a car and sell it six months later.
The Rio has LOST EVERY SINGLE COMPARISON TEST when it was up against the Honda Fit which is easily a better vehicle.
I don't understand what you are trying to convey with the last part of your post, but Toyota's president has publicly stated that their companies quality is slipping and their reliability ratings and recent trouble reiterate the problems. So, Honda would be better since they are still maintaining quality.
That's good someone besides me knows Honda and Toyota are not teams. Honda is better than Toyota. All Honda products are better I don't have to worry about my floormats. That poor family that got killed because they belived Toyota was the best car manufacterer in the world and died.
Ford's quailty is better than both Honda and Toyota.

Consumer Reports will show you why.
Ford is improving, but not up to Honda.
Ford caught up to Honda's quality about 3 years ago and has since passed them by. Get with the times. Toyota hasn't even caught up to Honda yet!
