It's disgusting that Volvo is going to be owned by the damned Chinese. I can't think of anything worse. Thanks Ford for selling out the only real luxury brand you had. My current Volvo will be my last.
At least driving a 3 Series isn't boring.
Volvo sometimes does some interesting designs. I still wouldnt buy one (they're lemons according to my co-worker, who's wife's 2005 volvo is always in for repair), but interesting.

i start to hate BMWs cause it's the most overated brand. I love this new volvo and agree that it's a great alternative to to 3 series.

For me, a lovely design is just a bonus. I don't lounge around my garage to take the wonder of the lovely design. It takes me usually less than 30 seconds to get to my car and get in. The whole 30 seconds to enjoy the purity of the great design … Turn on the ignition … My every sense after the first 30 seconds is what matter. The 3-series is sublime!!!
Having owned both 335i and Volvo S60 there is no comparison. The BMW is fun to drive, very responsive fast, the S60 on the other hand drives like my parent caddy, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…………..
This is the "last hurrah" for all these foreign companies (Saab, Jag, Volvo, Land Rover, etc) that have benefitted so much from people who really understand design. Without the Automotive Styling Genius of Ford or GM behind them; their future is as bleak as that of Geely or Lata. And as consumers; so it ours!
Sorry, Vince. The others are right….the Volvo is a snoozer. Nice car but not something to stir the soul everytime it's driven. This 'redesign' (which looks a lot like this year's model and a bit like the front of my 2005 Accord from a front/side view) is nice, but Volvo sedans are middle ground family cars, not sport sedans.
