phew. at least the interior is NOT the one we saw a few weeks ago in spyshots. this one is as gorgeous as it needs to be. the exterior, besides the ultra cool LED headlights, seems a bit too staid even for this price point. on the other hand, with BMW's and MB's way-over-the-top styling these days, perhaps this is what Old Money will buy next year. i bet the LWB version is will look the part more.
What a pity. The current one looks so much more distinguished. This looks like a stretched A4.
Oh la la… It's look like a simple facelift. New LED front light and taillight a la A4. Maybe it's enough for compete again the 7 but the S-Class look better ont the outside.
Awesome interior. But I'm not crazy about the exterior. I'll take an A5 though. I like them
A5's.
The exterior isn't very flattering. The lines remind me of the Ford 500.
doesn't break any new ground; but still a damn nice machine. Puts the S-class to shame — AGAIN!
Have you even driven this car??? IS not an old geezer Audi. Jeez. We have a current 2006 A8L and it moves fast and handles as well as the BMW 7 series. Its no wonder why the current A8 sells more worldwide then the BMW and close to the S class. Its no wonder why the A8 gets top marks in reviews and gets ranked above the 7 Series, LS460L, XJ, etc and S class.
All cars mentioned above are geezer cars as well.
Nothing in the class looks worthy of 2010.
Of course, they all drive very well too. At that price what wouldn't.
It's not a matter of how good they are.
They just all look like old people car…
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………
Actually, the interior is very nice and classy, but I don't like the exterior at all. The old one looked much better and the BMW 7 and Mercedes S-Class also look much better.
I see black paint on the B & C pillars: No good, throw it away. Obviously cheap & unreliable just like Sebring & Honda.
What a BORING vehicle.
It barely even changed from the last.

Check your facts.
You are wrong.
One who compares the piggy but stubby styling of the Ford 500 to the infinitely sleeker and more long legged A8 obviously doesn't get around very much.
If only Ford (and more to the point, Lincoln) could go for this kind of stance.
There's nothing wrong with this car's styling. Handsome, elegant, understated, and thankfully with very few gimmicky design quirks.
Many "old geezers" know what good taste is all about. That's all that matter in this class of automobile.
Another dull, fat, bloated looking sedan from VW/Audi with terrible resale value, dubious reliability, and little prestige. When will VW learn it will never compete with BMW or Mercedes-Benz in this large luxury car market?
Why do they choose the ugliest colors for the press photos. I would love to see how this car looks in another color.
Maybe because its mainly wealthy old geezers that can afford them.
Outside Hollywood the only ones under 25 who can afford it are drug dealers and pimps, and they have different tastes.
They Make the TT if you dont like it.
Well I will have to agree that the styling will make this car background on the road, really boring. Although the interior is very attractive, why in this day and age would you have a screen pop up or stick out like that? Why is it not better integrated into the dash? When will the other gauges go the way of the dinosaur?

So it can pop down and disappear when not needed.

Great, can't wait to not see the radio, airconditioner, heater, power window controls, most things on the dash dissappear when I am not using them on my next car.

They aren't as visually distracting as is a nav screen. Besides, hiding items not used often lends to the Teutonic sensibility of automotive design.

Really, get an Acura, BMW, Mercedes…..they have figured out how to integrate the navi screens without being "distracting"
