I like Audi's but they are way overpriced and way too underpowered and short on performance.
Top execs from BMW & Mercedes often refer to them as second tier posers.
No question it will be a very attractive design. But, for God sakes, please fix your reliability problems. Your cars should last more than 50k miles.
audi makes good cars with good design elements but they are way overpriced for what they offer. the execs at audi price their cars and think that the base FWD a4 can compete with the bmw 328 while the v6 3.2l a4 competes with the bmw 335. the truth is, the base fwd a4 with cvt is a piece of shit for its price, the base bmw 328i competes with the 3.2 a4 performance wise, and the bmw 335 competes with the s4 at thousands less. there's no point in having good design if you have no performance to back it up

Interesting. Most of the people I know who own German cars call BMW owners "poseurs." Even BMW owners who drive 7-series call 5-series drivers poseurs. So execs at BMW calling Audi anything is kind of ironic. Whatever… BMW and MB had better start finding excuses as to why Audi is stealing sales from them. I owned an M3 and I now have an S4. Let me tell you, driving the BMW, people immediately thought I was a douchebag. People expected me to drive like a bandit so I was constantly tailgated in whatever lane I was in, or they wanted to race me at every stoplight. It gets annoying to constantly be tested by some riced Integra or Altima with a fartcan exhaust. So much so, that I debadged it. I don't have to deal with any of that in my Audi.
And there's absolutely no way that anyone can say an S or RS Series Audi is underpowered or short on performance.
Yup. I agree. Audi is more of a competition for Volvo, Acura, Infiniti and maybe Lincoln; while Mercedes, BMW, Lexus and Cadillac are in the first tier competition group. Of course, people will cross shop just like any product.
An overpriced VW Polo with a lot of ugly makeup on it and typical horrible VW quality? Fail.
