New Chery X5 SUV

The previous Chery SUV was an obvious cheap copy of the BMW X5.

This new one… Not so much.
More like a copy of Godzilla.
But just on the outside.
Inside?
A 2.0 Liter with 146hp…

  2. I have to admit that this is indeed VERY UGLY, even looking at it through my Chinese background , no bios! This is indeed a piece of crap!

  3. The Chery SUV was a copy of the second gen RAV 4. You may be thinking of the Shunghuan CEO Vince. Now THAT was a real X5 lift.

  4. Wow. This design looks confusing! So many lines, which doesn´t seem to match. But the front bumper is my fav. So sharp and edgy that it looks like it´s directly imported from Disneys "Tron". 🙂

  5. I seem to recall that a lot of the readers on this forum are Chinese. So it's safe to assume that some of the readers of this site are in the automotive industry in China. Knowing how ridiculous most of us think their designs are, why don't they do better? This is really bad.

  9. This looks like one of those generic video game SUVS made to resemble absolutely nothing in order to avoid copyright infringement…..made by someone who I'm sure aspirated to be a REAL designer, but sadly wasn't good enough.

    But this somehow actually MADE it into the real world. Scary.

  10. A lot of people on this forum are Chinese? Really? I thought that there were some Koreans, as well as ghost-bloggers being paid by Koreans.

    Either way, that explains all the anti-Toyota posts.
