All new Porsche Cayenne: 15% Hybrids.

Porsche thinks 15% of all its new Cayenne sold will be Hybrids.

The al new Hybrid model matches a 3.6 Liter V6 with an electric motor for a total of 380hp.
Will it be that popular? Or even more?

  1. The hybrid craze is getting stupid. To take an inefficient brick-shaped vehicle and load it up with 350lbs of lithium or NiCad batteries and a second drivetrain is beyond idiocy. Unless the plan is to use them as urban taxis, this is just a gimmick that is less green than the conventional Cayenne.

  2. Someone able to spend $60k on a crossover is not that interested in saving on gas. 15% is a good estimate.
