2011 Honda Odyssey

Looking much better than the outgoing model. (Anything would have helped)
And nothing really new.

Lots of grey, like in most Hondas. Or beige.
And a ridiculously small sunroof.

  1. Akward, cheap, obtuse, but good enough for Honda Loyalists who aren't going to compare it to anything anyway. I think the upcoming Chryslers will blow it off the road; but then again, Chrysler buyers will run the numbers and stick with 6-speeds & pentastar engines with stow-N-go while habitual Honda-O-philes will always settle for anything Honda. Honda probably could have saved the cash spent on this mild restyle and had the same sales that they're going to have with it!

  2. Looks like two boringmini-vans glued together at the back end. Eh…its a mini van, who cares how it looks.

  3. At least they attempted to give it a little style. The dip in the rear window is a little interesting. The dashboard is so boring, I would probably fall asleep driving it. Iv'e seen a few comments lately complaining about GM's dash's, but at least they have a little personality. But people don't buy these things for their looks, so it will probably sell very well.

  4. This is terrible, What was Honda thinking?

    The worst Parts for me….
-Plastic and Chrome Grille (on the top of the line model???)
    -Cheap Black side mirrors
    -terrible wheels
    -the gigantic door slider

I dont even want to get started on the overall design, although the interior isn't bad.

This really makes the new sienna look like a beauty

  5. I believe that's there's a new standard for roofs which means a lot of sunroofs are going to get smaller. Look at the Subaru Forester which came out in 2009 – BIG roof. Outback new model in 2010 – tiny sunroof. Existing designs are grandfathered in.

  6. They F***ed it up from the concept. It was better loooking than the Sienna. I was thinking would have been thebest looking minivan. The f***ed it up.

  7. I personally think this is the best minivan yet and I actually do like it (did I really just say that I like a minivan?).

The current Odyessy is the best minivan on the market, hands down. This one will without a doubt be better, and I read on Autoblog that it will get 28MPG. Did you see that, Vince? That is really impressive for a vehicle this large.

The Chrysler minivan has lost EVERY SINGLE comparison test it has EVER been in to the Honda. You ever think of that one of any indication of how good those Chrysler products are?

The new Chrysler won't bow until 2012 just so you know. Also, that Penstastar isn't all it is cracked up to be. They should talk to Ford if they want innovative powertrain technologies.

  8. Wow! That's another ugly Honda redesign. Grill from the Crosstour, weird little triangular windows by the A-pillar, strange looking kink along the beltline, and cheesy looking craplastic interior. Revamped Chrysler/Dodge minivans will blow this out of the water.

  9. Actually a significantly refreshed T&C and Grand Caravan will be coming the end of this year, early next year, just so you know.

A MMC with a new powertrain does NOT = significant refresh. Chrysler will still trail the competition.

  11. Interior – AWESOME
    Exterior – a MONSTRODITY

Siena will get much of its marktshare – UNLESS – this thing is even better handling than its predecesor was – which was awesome.

  12. I own the current design Odyssey and it has decent styling for a mini-van. What makes it awesome is how it drives for a mini-van. Tremendous power from the V-6 good handling and ride. However this new design takes the name literally and to a new level of ODD. I thought the concept was very stylish for a van but it got lost in production translation. The harsh kick at the bottom of the door panels throws off the unique window treatment. You would think that they would find a way to remove the sliding door track in the middle of the quarter panel when attempting such a unique design! The back looks like it is grafted on from another vehicle. The front is a good evolution of the design but I agree this makes the new Sienna look great and I have never liked any Sienna.

  13. I think the current one is beautiful. This, however, is a complete mess. Fortunately for Honda, it's still better than the boring Sienna and the shoebox Chrysler.

  14. "Fortunately for Honda, it's still better than the boring Sienna and the shoebox Chrysler."

    I think you mean "Unfortunately."

  15. That strange third window thing going on, lincoln did it as well, it still looks bad. Only BMW can get away with strange looking, aka bangle butt.

  16. What I see here is a lot of fear many of us have to new designs, come on, many critizised the trunk lines in the BMW 7 series from two generations ago and now the current Camry has it and nobody says a word!!!, big mouth front ends appeared in Peugeots and everybody yielled, but now that the Mazda 3 has it you say it is OK!!!!, Maybe the new Oddy is way too ahead of our expectations,
For me it will continue to be the best in its class for years to come!!! Best regards!!!

  17. "Maybe the new Oddy is way too ahead of our expectations"

Those would have to be some pretty LOW expectations!

This sucker is just different for the sake of being different (from the previous boring Oddity).

    EVEN THE KIA IS BETTER-LOOKING.
The chrysler & Dodge look MUCH better–especially inside–and both are months from a major upgrade–AND 24 months from a TOTAL redesign.

I dumped all my Honda stock immediately when I saw this monstrocity!

  18. "The Chrysler minivan has lost EVERY SINGLE comparison test it has EVER been in to the Honda"–NOT!!!

Chrysler loyalty has ALWAYS been better than Honda.
CHRYSLER recently won the POLK AUTOMOTIVE LOYALTY AWARD for the NINTH STRAIGHT YEAR in a row!!!!

Wake-up & check out the competition, honda sucker!
