2012 Nissan Versa

Last Updated:

The new Versa is already being tested.
And from the illustration above, it looks like it might adopt some of the melted look from its cousin the Nissan Leaf.
Not sure that’s a good thing.

  1. How can you complain about Nissans looking melted and then praise Hyundai for the same thing? It doesn't make any sense.

  2. Vince – honestly.

Do you think anyone who takes the time/is interested in reading car blogs on a daily basis is really interested in reading up the updates to a Nissan Versa?

  3. "Not sure if that's a good thing…"

RIGHT, I think when a car looks this terrible, anything is an improvement. I would NEVER buy the current Versa, but that car in the bottom picture looks like something I would take a look at.

  4. A true car junky (like me) will take ANY car news they can find! Versas, Elantras, 535i's – WHATEVER!

  5. The new Versa looks like it's trying (too hard, and unsuccessfully) to look like the Fit/Jazz.

Sidebar: Ditto, Vince. Any and all car news is fine by me. 🙂

  6. "Do you think anyone who takes the time/is interested in reading car blogs on a daily basis is really interested in reading up the updates to a Nissan Versa?"

Absolutely, because as a true car junkie, you want to read about every car. Keep it up Vince and don't let the poseurs dissuade you.

And I also happen to like Versa's!

    -my sentiments EXACTLY!!!!!~

    ENOUGH WITH THE GO-KARTS, ECONO-BUGS, AND HUNCHBACKS ALREADY!!!!—STICK WITH Genuine A U T O M O B I L E S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I'm not a poser – I'm just saying with the few updates Vince each week, when I finally see one, ans its about a Versa, as oppsed to something more significant exciting etc, it's a let down.

  9. Vince, awesome, well done. I love the versa and own one with 225,000km on it ( Canada) Trouble free although not too pretty. I can't wait to get this one, It's very nice looking.

  10. This site is mostly visual. Personally I find the 1980's Ford & Cadillac "prototypes" more interresting than a shot of what today's chronically unemployed are struggeling to pay off & keep repaired.

  11. People complaining about Hyundais? They do NOT look like a used bar of soap, they at least have creases.

All of Nissans design themes are terrible, aside from the boxy and chunky GT-R and 370Z.

    STFU.

A true enthusiast would get excited over anything from a Nano to a Mulsanne.

    Get out of here.

  12. Vince, you are doing a great job with keeping your content fresh everyday on your site…don't let the bastards get you down…obviously they have no experience with what it takes to keep a blog going and probably still type with two fingers…fat ones at that!

  13. "A true enthusiast would get excited over anything from a Nano to a Mulsanne."

…which is like saying that a world-renound French Chef would be just as satisfied with a couple McDonald's grease burgers as he would Duck L'Orange & Lobster Bisque.

  14. this is the best auto news I read all day. I own a Versa and enjoy it very much. I'm not alone either. Love the Versa or hate it. Nissan sells a ton of them. Way more then fits and yaris. I will be linking this image on our forum.
