All new Hyundai Elantra

The Elantra will no doubt be a formidable competitor to not only the usual players like the Civic and the Corolla.
But the all new 2012 Focus as well.
And from what we’ve seen of the new Civic, Honda should be very worried.

That is evidently the Accent.
the accent looks solid. The fiesta looks nicer from the front, but I think it has a nicer looking side profile then the Fiesta sedan. The Fiesta hatch looks way better then the accent hatch though, that's for sure. And both look better then the new Aveo… oh well, good to see everyone stepping up to the plate and offering great small cars.
Cant wait to see this the accent, elantra and sonota side by side, hot and nice lineup, and they really got it, awesome design costs the same as crappy design !
This car looks invisible. It reminds me of the dull and innocuous jellybean styling that was so popular in the 80s and early 90s. So the promise of "plenty of pictures soon" is not all that exciting. We need more smart looking European styled cars that you see in Paris and Amsterdam. The Mini, Focus and Fiesta are the only ones that fit the bill in my opinion.
Yeah I am not digging this, especially compared to the Sonata.
Clowns would not be caught dead in one of these.
This car is indeed the accent, the window line and taillight design are giveaways.
This is absolutely the Accent. Speaking of the o-so-sexy Elantra however, I'm dissapointed to see they removed the projector headlights for the US model.
I guess it was Hyundai's dream to suffer from AudiBMWMercedes-Syndrome. They were successful!

Are you guys sure this is the Accent and not the Elantra? It looks like the Elantra to me but I could be wrong. I can't wait for this car (Elantra) to come out and see it in person. Incidently, I came across an article from autoblog.com that says that EVERY model of the Elantra will achieve 40mpg on the highway. I would think that the turbo version may not get 40 but I guess you never know. Here's the link.
