2012 Hyundai Accent

This is the Canadian model, but the US version should be pretty much the same.
We will also be getting a sedan.

The engine is the 1.6 Liter with 138hp. With the choice of a 6 speed manual or Auto.

  1. This according to Hyundai will "Kick Fiesta's Butt"

    Yes. If it it can come in at 11-12k, it has a chance. Maybe not blow out the Fiesta, but probably outsell it.

    That said… I think the Fiesta is still better then this and the Chevy Sonic in driving dynamics. But the Sonic comes with more standard hp… base. Hopefully the Ecoboost will not carry a huge premium over the base model (which is already slightly overpriced).

  2. They still haven't figured out the grille: the oval-ish upper "smile" doesn't mix well with the tentative hexagonal motif.

    The rest of the exterior styling looks great

  3. Nor much different from the previous model. Just added a couple of dramatic lines along the side.
    I would have expected more as the Sonata is very impressive.

  7. Looking good so far… It appears that the only truly 'questionable' design in Hyundai's future is the Veloster.

  8. I don't see this kicking the Fiesta's butt. Not even close. But it's perfectly fine, and I'm sure it'll sell well.
