2014 VW Polo?

Just an illustration, but a nice evolution on the current theme.
VW mentioned a coupe of years ago that we were supposed to get a version of the current Polo in the US.
I wonder what actually happened to that idea. The sedan version came out and never made it over here.
I guess they need to make sure it is cheap enough for our market.
Still. The Polo is a really nice looking car with many versions available. And we are getting more and more small cars over here from almost everybody.
Unfortunately, I suspect VW plans to fill their sub-Golf slot with the Bulli in the US, since the xB and Cube have proven so popular. 🙁
