2013 Hyundai Elantra GT
Last Updated:
This new model is replacing the Elantra Touring.
And it is pretty much exactly the same car as the new 130 sold in Europe.
Which is great news.
Same great design, same new interior and same glass roof option.
It is powered by a 1.8 Liter engine with 148hp. Good for 28/39MPG.
Both a six speed manual and automatic are available.
This seems to be only good news so far.
I'd take this 10x of the joke of an Acura below.
A Hyundai. Yep.
Taillights look like they are from the Kia parts bin.
The GT badge doesnt mean anything.
Its not a true GT if you compare with the tradition meaning of GT.
A bit of a joke.
To me, this looks like a more stylish Toyota Matrix. Of course, looking better than a Matrix is a pretty easy task.
I'm sure this will be another good Hyundai. But let's remember than the Matrix and it's brother the Pontiac Vibe didn't exactly sell like ice in July.
Nice little car. I like the wagon design and the roof is interesting.
Looks a bit like a large Mazda 2 to me. Hope Hyundai not going down the "Joker" look of Mazda. My next car will probably be a hatch, however, so this and the forthcoming Kia will both be on my list.
If this has the Kia C'eed's IRS then it's the Elantra of choice.
Before anybody complains that the GT nomenclature is ruined in being pasted to a small, sporty hatchback.. remember the overweight, top-heavy abortion BMW recently applied it to.
