First official pictures of the new compact Volvo.
And it does look great. Already much better than the BMW 1 or the upcoming Audi A3.
A 2 door version is supposed to be coming next, and maybe a sedan as well.

Engines will range from 1.6 to 2.0 Liter in size. So much smaller than the 2.5 Liter currently offered in the C30.
Let’s just hope this makes it to the US. Soon…

    blows away any other player in its class, hands down (in terms of looks)
    we'll see how the things drives.

  5. Volvo would be moronic not to market this in the US…w/ AWD and a R-design package, this would be a sight to see. Granted…they are killing wagons and hatches over here to make way for god-forsaken crossover variants….Time will tell.

  6. had an S40 from new. regularly serviced. burned a quart of oil every 1000 miles by the time it hit 50k miles. "normal" sez Volvo. I ditched it. I wonder if the new engines will be any better.

  8. Dash has definite influences of 2012 Charger, while at the same time, 2011 Volvo s80.
    Interresting.
    Also love the Dodge-like 2-tone of the door panels.
    Hope the safety doesn't keep slipping to Chinese Standards!
