2018 Jeep Wrangler

Last Updated:

Just got these today.
(I flopped 2 pictures of the current model so we can compare.)
And they look pretty much the same. Except, of course, the much more rounded fenders.
Also the side steps and bumpers.
So this could be just testing the plastic parts of the new car.
Or maybe the next one just looks that close to the current model?

Seems like late in the game for a total mule. By now we should see the real thing.
Even if only the plastic parts are new, they do fit perfectly on that “old” body.
Strange…

What do you think?

  1. Hopefully, a much more mechanically-improved Jeep. But it sure seems that FCA is going the least expensive design route as an excuse to raise prices. But if it's been dramatically improved, it might be worth the extra dollars. Jeep is the ONLY thing FCA has going for future profits. Time they mothball the rest of the ops, or try and sell them to some group that wants Dodge or MOPAR as its prime selling product. Did I hear Beijing just try calling Marchionne???!!!

  2. To explain your concern, Wrangler has a very conservative fan base that wants very little change. Jeep wasn't even able to relocate production elsewhere except Toledo. This model is the holly grail for the brand. Anything too modern or radical who scare of customers.

  3. Unless the photos have been reversed, the only notable change is the fuel filler delete.. perhaps it's an e-Jeep?
