How about some more pix of the new Jeep Commander

 Of all these new official pictures, this is my favorite.
In front of the “E.T Coffee”!!  As it has a weird unintentional “Stranger Things” vibe to it…

As mentioned before, the 5 seater Commander doesn’t look like a shorter version of the 7 seater Grand Commander.
It seems like the same car minus the 3rd row. So now with what looks like a rather huge trunk area.

This is based on Fiat’s CUSW platform. Also used in the Chrysler 200, Dodge Dart, Jeep Cherokee and Chrysler Pacifica.

  4. Sorry, but that older FWD platform is never getting a V8…

    I also think the platform could have been better used to replace the Dodge Journey. Or create a new Chrysler crossover.

  5. Is no one else seeing this as the PERFECT replacement for the Dodge Journey. Also Patrick – calm down. People do care as this will forsure end up in North America

  7. This is clearly just a rebodied Cherokee! I always hoped Jeep would keep two sets of products, delineated similarly to Land Rover/Range Rover.. the Renegade, Compass, Commander and Wrangler could have been the more rugged, offroad-focused models and the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer could have been the more luxurious, feature-laden models.

    Only some kind of a moron would think that way.
