2021 Ford Mustang Hybrid?
Last Updated:
Ford just released an all-new corporate commercial. Just to make some of us proud to own a Ford. And keep buying one in the future. (Unless you want a sedan)
The most interesting part is that shot of a car. Not an SUV. And the only car they will now be producing is the Mustang.
Plus, this look like a Mustang anyway. We all know there is a Plug-in Hybrid version of the Mustang coming up.
And this is probably it. Since it looks 100% different than the one we have now, it is also probably the all-new redesigned Mustang, due out in 2020 as a 2021 model.
Since they show that much in a commercial already, we might see it sometime next year.
Here is the whole video.
So is this either the next generation Mustang, or the first image if the "Mach 1" electric crossover (hopefully not).
I think a hybrid Mustang could be amazing. Hybrid supercars are doing amazing things with electricity.
I do not think a hybrid Mustang will sell! But an EV Mustang will sell better.
Vince, this is actually the BEV/Mach 1 front end, not a Mustang. Reliable sources from inside Ford are stating elsewhere that the BEV will be using several Mustang styling cues, but the overall shape is CUV with echos of the Jag CUV (can't remember its name) in profile.
Also, it's obviously not a hybrid anything – a hybrid would still have a gas engine and thus would require a grill opening in front for the radiator.
You have to love Bryan Cranston!
