This is the all-new Mustang GT. Driving around.
You can hear that good old 5.0 Liter V8. Which will be the very last of its breed since the next-generation Mustang will be an EV.
It’s really too bad Ford decided to “go cheap” and not use the CD6 platform. Which would have given the new Mustang the availability of AWD. As well as a PHEV version. Which would have helped make the new Mustang a truly more modern car. Instead, they just decided to reskin the previous version and use the same engines. Which will appeal to the faithful, but no one else.
In less than 2 years, Dodge will revolutionize the muscle car market with their new Charger EV. By that time, gas will be even more expensive than the crazy prices we see today. And the EV infrastructure will be much better (including Tesla chargers available to everyone). I really think sales of the Mustang will tank in a couple of years. It will be tough for Ford to keep the car going until 2030. Which is when the next one is due…
