Next-generation Mazda Miata: new illustration…

This is obviously a wild guess only. Since we’ve had about zero info about the next-generation Mazda Miata. Except there is still one planned.
The only thing I’ve heard was about adding a hybrid. Allowing for more power and of course better MPG. But the illustration above does look more like an EV. Which I haven’t heard of. And with Mazda being so late in the EV game, this is probably not in the cards. At least not for many years.
The only thing almost certain is the Miata will keep its own design language, and not adopt whatever Mazda’s new face is at the time. Which has always been the case. Just imagine anything close to the heavy-handed CX-60 chrome grille on that cute little sports car…
