Ford has been hard at work on an all-new more affordable EV platform. One that will produce a compact SUV and a smaller pickup. But why not an old-fashioned compact wagon?

Of course, they are in a hurry to produce the small SUV and pickup since these are the popular choices these days. But why not create (or re-created) something others don’t have? A small inexpensive EV wagon could bring many new customers to the brand.
Ford seems to be focusing on the Mustang and Bronco lineup these days. Or so they claim. These are cars with personality. The new SUV will probably be influenced by the Bronco. And it doesn’t seem too hard to come up with a wagon body style based on the same platform. One that could even be roomier and more efficient than the SUV.
Ford‘s EV plans seem to constantly be changing and who knows when these new more affordable eVs will be available.
