2026 Toyota RAV4. (Past illustrations).
Last Updated:

I just realized it’s been almost 2 years since we have seen illustrations of what the new 2026 Toyota RAV4 could look like. I thought I would repost some of the earlier guesses above.
Some of them do seem realistic but it seems none of these predicted how conservative the new RAV4 would actually look like. Of course, Toyota played it safe with their most popular vehicle and we can’t really blame them.
And yet, there are so many ways they could have come up with a design that was obviously a RAV4. So many better ways than the final product. Or so it seems.
The new 2026 RAV4 doesn’t really look much more modern than the one it replaces. At least to me. Just different. It is a more angular and busier design that might not age as well as the current one.
The new hybrid-only lineup is at least a move toward modern times. But the interior, at least on the official photos we’ve seen, doesn’t seem like such an improvement after all these years. I know it’s a Toyota and it has a stellar reputation, but cars like the Hyundai Tucson seem so much more modern inside and out. You can tell that at least Hyundai has tried. While Toyota just wanted to do the same thing again. I am not even looking forward to seeing the new RAV4 in person…
While none of these are fantastic, my favorites are the numbers 5 & 6.
Which one is yours?
I think the new rav 4 looks way more modern than the current one. That woodland front end though looks like it’s from 2010.
The reality is that – except for anything extreme – RAV4 buyers don’t pay all that much attention to styling. It means a lot more to people going to sites like this one than within the general public.
Pot calling the kettle black on “design” — this site looks like it was designed in 2005.
I’ll wait to see the RAV4 in person before making any personal judgements.
