2024 Kia EV9: new video teaser…

Kia just released a very short video teaser for the all-new EV9 electric SUV.

We saw the concept last year. And Kia did show quite a few “official spy shots” a few months ago of a prototype wearing very thin camouflage showing the whole thing. Or almost.

As I mentioned earlier, I wasn’t impressed by the concept I saw last year in person. It just looked a bit goofy and unrealistic. Too much like a Tonka toy. I guess it will stand out, which is a good thing. And it will be a rare “affordable” 3-row electric SUV. Almost certainly starting at around $50 000 or even under. Not another $100 000 millionaire toy.

I actually cannot wait to see it. So far, Hyundai/Kia EVs have been very impressive.

  2. Agreed with Brian. This is very clearly the concept – we’ve seen teaser images/clear spy shots of the production vehicle’s headlights, which aren’t this.

  3. I saw the concept at the New York Auto Show and thought it was fantastic. Unfortunately, Kia dealers will probably mark up the price way nover MSRP like they do the Telluride.
