2026 Mazda CX-5 Hybrid?

The picture above shows a camouflaged SUV that seems to be coming soon.

Of course, it could very well be some new Chinese brand SUV or even something from India. However, the front end does remind me of a Mazda and a new Mazda CX-5 is probably coming next spring as a 2026 model. The next Mazda CX-5 will also be offered as a Hybrid. Not sure yet if the hybrid will be the standard powertrain or not.

Unlike the new CX-50 Hybrid, which will use a Toyota powertrain, the next-generation Mazda CX-5 Hybrid will be an in-house affair from Mazda. Which might or might not be such a great idea…

A new generation Toyota RAV-4 is also scheduled for the 2026 model year and will probably be unveiled a the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. However, this does look more like a Mazda.

Or some cleverly camouflaged mule for anything else, really.

  7. Looks nothing like a CX5.. Front end is giving off Ford Explorer vibes and the body looks like a Forester and a Rav4 had a baby.

  10. Looks to me a Toyota Rav 4 ، this stupid boxy shape can never be a Mazda .

  11. Hope is Mazda CX5, does have Mazda wheels, front badge is round, Toyota, Subaru have oval shape badge. Then, again could be some other Chinese, India brands.

  12. it looks like a 2023 hyundai santa fe but with mazda’s kodo design language. it also has one of the 2018 Mazda CX-5’s grand touring wheel designs. it’s a good design for the wheel but with mazda’s new look represented in the CX-90 and CX-70 that will probably flows to the rest of the fleet the wheels wouldn’t go well. i hardly think mazda will bring back that wheel design. it seems to big for a CX-5 it looks in between the sportage and the nautilus
