2025 VW Tiguan.
Last Updated:
Well, almost. The new VW Tayron for Europe will indeed be our new Tiguan, coming out next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The US model will be slightly different, but the design you see above is basically it. Which is not great news. I always thought the current generation looked much worse than the previous one. And almost 10 years later, the current Tiguan isn’t looking fresh at all.
The new one seems pretty clumsy too. And still not as modern looking as the 4-year-old VW ID.4. The new Tiguan has a 3-row option in Europe, and is about 9 inches longer than the current model.
The interior looks much more modern than before, of course. After almost 10 years. But that stupid-looking tablet screen seems to ruin everything like it does all other new VW interiors. The same exact after-market-looking screen is not on everything they make, or so it seems.
While the European market will be getting many choices, the new Tiguan is rumored to keep offering the 2.0 Liter over here. And that should be it. Unless VW finds it in its heart to bring their PHEV trim to North America. I’m not holding my breath.
The Tiguan will mostly be an update on a really old model that never looked great in the first place.
One more invisible SUV on our roads…
