2026 Toyota RAV4.

These new illustrations of a possible 2026 Toyota RAV4 look very close to the current generation. They almost look like a mid-cycle facelift and not a real new generation, which would be what Toyota did with the 2025 Camry.
Something like this would really be too bad since the RAV4 is their best-selling model and it deserves the investment of a new generation. At least the design and interior. Since we already know it will probably use the same platform and even the same powertrains. Since the new 1.5 Liter hybrid system might not be ready on time for the new SUV. The PHEV RAV4 EV range is currently rated at a very decent 42 miles. Any improvement and something over 45 miles would be even better and would make it even more popular.
Something else that would make it more popular is to reduce the almost $10,000 current difference between the Hybrid and the PHEV trim. Which is ridiculous. Especially since a Prius PHEV is $5000 more than the Hybrid. Which is bad enough.
However, I still expect the 2026 RAV4 to switch to a standard Hybrid just like the 2025 Camry did a few months ago.
Let’s really hope the new RAV4 at least looks all-new even if it isn’t underneath…
