Kia PV5.

The Kia PV5 van is not a concept. Although it does look very close to the concept version we just saw a few weeks ago at CES.
It is available as a passenger or cargo version. And is Kia’s first EV van. Kia will also unveil conversion options for the new van. Which could make it a great camping van.
“While the PV5 is offered in three different body styles to provide innovative solutions for a diverse range of customer needs, they all embody the same consistent design values inspired by Kia’s design philosophy, ‘Opposites United,’” said Karim Habib, Head of Kia Global Design. “Each model confidently expresses a solid, bold, futuristic character and a highly capable attitude.”
Whatever that means.
Of course, we have no idea yet if this really cool vehicle will be sold in North America or not. It seems Kia is taking its time to unveil new EVs over here. While the compact EV3 has been on sale around the world for a few months, we have no idea when it is coming to the US. Or even if it’s actually coming here. The EV5 launched in China a while ago is finally making it to North America, but in Canada only. At least so far.
There will be a “Kia EV Days” event in Spain in just a few days. “Kia will host its 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain on February 24, where it will unveil the full PV5 product range, including derivative models and conversion options, alongside strategic plans for its PBV business. Official details of vehicle interiors and product offerings will be released on February 27, with the event video available on the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel in March.”
