2026 Kia EV4.

Kia has just released a few official teasers for the all-new Kia EV4 EV sedan. And it looks remarkably close to the concept we saw in 2023.
Of course, there will be differences, but so far, the production car looks almost the same as the concept. Just like last year’s EV3.
I saw the Kia EV4 concept in person at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and I’m pretty sure it was a hatchback. With its rear window spreading almost all the way to the rear end of the car. Obviously, the production model is not. From the many spy shots we’ve seen and the bottom image, it will have a regular trunk. One with a ridiculously small opening that makes the whole thing almost unusable.
Just like the Hyundai Ioniq 6, it will be one of the fastback cars without a hatch. Which is just dumb. The EV4 is actually closely related to the Ioniq 6 and somehow these can’t have a rear hatch.
However, there have also been spy shots of a hatchback version of the Kia EV4 sedan. One that resembles a wagon, with an upright rear hatch. Something similar to the upcoming Kia K4 hatchback.
The small EV3 is still scheduled for the North American market. But so far, no one really knows when. Kia just introduced the larger EV5 EV in Canada. The new model has been available in China for a while. And it is not scheduled for the US, at least so far.
With VW canceling the ID.7 EV sedan in the US, I wonder if Kia will ever sell the EV4 sedan over here.
I used to appreciate Kia pushing the boundaries with new modern designs. But they have jumped the shark. It’s wayyy too messy with no cohesive thoughts. Just a bunch of lines and lights all over the place with messy silhouettes. The K4 looks like crap, especially at the C pillar, this looks even worse
