2026 Kia EV4.

Last Updated:

Kia showed us concept versions of the future EV3 and EV4 late last year. We just saw the production version of the EV3 a few weeks ago, and now it’s the EV4 sedan’s turn to show a little bit of its production design.

And again, it already looks pretty close to the concept. I saw both the EV3 and EV4 concepts at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year, and the EV4 definitely looked more like a pure concept car than the EV3. But here we go, it seems Kia was able to include most of the futuristic concept’s design cues in the production car once again.

As far as the EV4 size, it’s hard to tell. Kia didn’t give any specs on the concept and it seems it could be one of these EVs that actually looks smaller than it is. Like the Ioniq5 or even the Kia EV6. With big wheels, these look smaller in photos than they do up close. As far as I can tell, it does look bigger than the new Kia K4 sedan. Which is a bit over 185 inches long. The new EV4 is probably closely related to the larger Hyundai Ioniq 6, which is 191 inches long.

That would mean similar specs. With of course the new slightly larger 84kWh battery from the 2025 Ioniq 5. The Ioniq 6 with the current smaller 77.4 kWh battery pack is already rated at an amazing 361 miles of range.

While the new Kia EV3 is coming to North America, I’m not sure Kia is willing to gamble on a sedan, which would be too bad. The company is already offering one with the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and they might think that could be enough. On top of that, VW recently “postponed” the US launch of the ID.7 sedan for the US. (It’s probably canceled).

Let’s just hope this cool and futuristic new EV sedan makes it over here in a year or two. especially since it would have to be priced under the EV6 which currently starts at $42,600…

  1. I am sick of the basic SUV. But KIAs designs are just crazy and bad at the same time.
