New Toyota EV.

We now have more images from the video teaser Toyota released a few days ago. Showing a brand new EV model. smaller than the BZ4.

No other news, except for the short official PR word:

“Toyota is taking the wraps off an all-new battery electric model. The new car presents a sleek and stylish coupe design with a spacious comfortable and versatile interior and elevated driving dynamics. Its development is inspired by Toyota’s heritage of creating products that have strong emotional appeal and give wider choices to customers.

The all-new Toyota will be revealed at 23:01 GMT on 11 March 2025.”

“Elevated dynamics” of course sounds like a Crossover/SUV thing. Which leads to a production version of the really cool Toyota BZ Crossover Concept. Which was shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Where I saw it in person and was very impressed.

Toyota also has a new model in China based on the BZ3 sedan called the BZ C. Which looks a lot like the BZ Crossover concept. However, it seems the teaser images are closer to the Crossover concept than the new Chinese market model.

Either way, this is something that is definitely coming to the European market. And of course, there is no word or mention of the North American market. Where Toyota has only one EV. And its other ones have been pushed back a year.

Currently, the Toyota BZ 4X starts at a pretty reasonable $37,000. With lease deals starting at $219 a month. Or $40 a month cheaper than a Corolla!

An even cheaper EV in the US would be great news.

  1. The problem is that we are NOT ready for electric cars, not yet.
    The issue with the Toyo EVs is their range, look at the bz4x/Solterra, a disaster. Twice in the last year, my local dealership couldn’t get get rid of 8 used Solterras with less than 2K, yes less than 2K. They were selling at around $27K for the premiums and around $28K for the limited ones. Solterrra owners are so upset with their low range. Decent model above. TOYOTA make it a HYBRID!

  2. Bz4x is not good for long drive and driving business like uber, lyft etc… it has a meager 200 mile range on a full charge that is very limjting specially on my part. I do medical supplies delivery and uber at the sane time and the charging stresses me a lot toa point that im taking medication for hypertension because of these! Im speaking of my experience and nit from other people. True that it is GOOD except the range…very stressing, dissatisfying! Any lemon lawyers that can read this? Thinking of trading it ASAP!
