Future Toyota Camry video.

Yes, the Toyota Camry was redesigned last year. That means it will be a while before we see a next generation. Years. It will be years.
And yet, that “new” Camry wasn’t an all-new car was it… The current Toyota Camry is a refresh of the 2017 model with mostly a new interior and a new face. Toyota also made the Hybrid powertrain standard instead of optional. However, the base price went up so they’re not losing any money…
From what we’ve seen of the new 2026 Toyota RAV4, it seems we will indeed see an all-new design for the popular SUV. Unlike the 2025 Camry. But what if Toyota had decided to spend more money on the Camry and came up with an all-new design last year for the popular sedan? 2024 sales went up to almost 310,000 units. That is still a pretty huge number these days for a sedan. Especially for one that isn’t really new.
Would a totally new design be even more popular? And what would it look like? With such popular cars, manufacturers are rarely rolling the dice. The next Toyota RAV-4 will not look too different. Except up front where it will now resemble the Crown Signia wagon.
Could a new Toyota Camry have been a bit more modern? Even Sportier looking?
The short video above explores what could have been. And why not…
