Volvo EX30 Cross Country.
Last Updated:
This is the production version of the Volvo EX30 Cross Country concept we saw last year when the EX30 was introduced.
And it’s a bit disappointing. As this is really nothing special. The EX30 is already available with AWD. (It’s actually the only version currently available in the US.) I was really expecting a bit more from Volvo.
It’s basically the same car, slightly raised up by less than an inch, with black wheels and a black plastic front end. Even inside there is nothing new. The powertrain and battery are also the exact same. However, you can order new 18-inch all-terrain tires. Which makes it special I guess.
Usually, Volvo doesn’t offer a Cross Country trim of their SUVs. There is no Cross Country version of the XC60 or XC90. It usually starts with a station wagon like the V60 or V90.
The EX30 is already sold as a small SUV. That means it could be hard to come up with a Cross Country version. But it seems Volvo didn’t even try. They got even lazier than Subaru.
I wonder how much they will charge for this over the regular AWD version of the EX30. And how many suckers will be fought buying this thing…
