2026 Honda 0 SUV.

Last Updated:

Honda just showed a prototype of their all-new 0 SUV at the Japanese GP racing event.

Surprisingly enough, this looks like a prototype of the actual production car, and not the concept. As you can see, the front end on both vehicles are almost exactly the same.

And so is the profile. Which is very surprising go me since I really thought that futuristic shape would be toned down for the production version. So far, it appears very, very close to the concept. It also seems the rear side window is a bit larger than the one on the concept, which is always good. Other differences ar the obvious addition of side mirrors. The EV charging port also looks different. And finally, the orange and red side markets are an easy way to tell this is the US version of the new Honda, which makes sense since it is scheduled to come out here first.

Besides the red side markers, I can actually see nothing different from the rear end. However, there is still some camouflage over the lower part of the rear lights.

The interior is also remarkably similar to the recent concept. It seems Honda was able to keep most of the giant front windshield for that open feel. Since this is a US-spec version, the side screens used for the mirrors are probably gone. And the gimmicky joy stick from the concept has thankfully been replaced by a proper string wheel. You can also see that air vents have been added right below the center screen.

We, of course, have no new specs about the new Honda EV SUV. Except it will be built in the US on Honda’s new EV platform. These photos are quite amazing and really show what could be the most modern Honda design in decades. It is quite amazing to see how close this will be to the concept.

What I cannot wait to see is the production version of the insane looking 0 Saloon concept. The sedan concept really looked like nothing else. (Except for some futuristic Italian concept cars from the 60s).

This could be quite spectacular…
