Honda 0 Saloon Concept.

Last Updated:

At the same time they unveiled the 0 Series SUV, Honda has also come up with an updated version of the 0 Series Saloon we saw last year. Which, I guess, is a bit closer to the production model.

However, it still looks pretty “out there” to me. As you can see in these photos comparing it to last year’s original concept, the sedan now has 4 real doors. Which is of course a logical step towards production, but these doors seem weird and even a bit flimsy.

When comparing the profiles of both concepts, they do look amazingly close. The front end has been completely redesigned with new headlights, that are now where we expect them to be. Although the rear end still doesn’t show any opening. It’s hard to tell if this is a hatchback or not since it doesn’t even seem the rear end can open up at all.

The interior is exactly the same as in the SUV concept. Just adapted to lower sedan proportions.

I am really looking forward to the production version of this. As it sure is quite original and such a huge departure from the super conservative sedasn Honda is currently offering. And has for decades.

The 0 saloon sedan will start production in the US a few months after the SUV. No word yet on its actual name. Or pricing. It will of course be cheaper than the Afeela 1. But how much more than the current Honda Accord or even the Acura TLX is still a wild guess.

Let’s hope Honda keeps it affordable and this could be competing against the Hyundai Ioniq 6 or even the upcoming VW ID.7.

Wouldn’t that be nice…

  1. I guess if the public doesn’t think Elon Musk’s truck isn’t ugly, they won’t think this Honda is either. But I do!

  2. Imagine trying to buckle in a child safety seat while your 2 yr old is crying in your Honda Lamborghini Countach sedan that no one will buy. Good thinking.
