2026 Hyundai Elexio.

The Elexio is a brand-new Hyundai EV for the Chinese market. This new model seems to be their first EV that isn’t part of the Ioniq series.
So far, this new Hyundai will be exclusively built in China for Chinese consumers. However, that’s what they were saying last year about the Kia EV5. Which is now sold outside of China, and is even coming to Canada very soon.
At first, it really looks a bit like a smaller Ioniq 9, and it seems it could easily become a future Hyundai Ioniq 4 in other markets. It also looks quite a bit like the new 2026 Hyundai Nexo. A Nexo that spent a little time in a microwave oven and melted a bit.
The new Lexio is part of a huge $1.1 billion investment Hyundai recently made in China.
So far no specs yet. Except the new model is expected to have a range of around 435 mile sin the Chinese test cycle. Which would be around 350 EPA if sold here.
