Honda Passport test drive coming up.

Last Updated:

I will be driving a new Honda Passport for the next few days. As you can see from the paperwork above, it is a loaded Elite trim. However, not the “Platinum white” mentioned as the only option. Mine is just gray…

I drove the previous generation Honda Passport a couple of times and thought it was a very nice, comfortable, and super roomy SUV. Its main problem was the old design. Inside and out. It really looked like something from a couple of generations ago. These days, only the Honda Ridgeline pickup is sadly burdened with that old interior.

The new Passport fixes all this. With a very nice modern design with a more off-road vibe. And Honda designers were able to add a fun personality to it. It looks a bit like a larger Ford Bronco Sport. It also doesn’t look like a shorter Honda Pilot anymore, which is what the previous generation was.

As we know, Honda has kept its wonderful V6 for the new Passport. Which is a pleasure to drive. There will probably be no surprises there.

As usual, feel free to ask any questions you might have about my driving experience with the new Honda Passport.

  1. I keep hoping maybe Honda will change up the Ridgeline to use the basic Passport body with changes to the headlights, grill, bumper area. The interior can be essentially the same.
