Chevrolet Blazer Convertible.

I posted about a possible compact 2-door Bronco Convertible a while ago. Something that could be based on the new Low Cost EV platform Ford will unveil next week. But how about an answer from Chevrolet? A compact 2-door retro-inspired Chevrolet Blazer based on GM’s Ultium platform.

The illustration above shows a design inspired a bit by the famous and popular blazer K5. The K5 was a full-size SUV truck produced from 1969 to 1994. Also referred to as the “real Blazer”. The above model also has a few design cues from the 2nd generation of the smaller S10 Blazer. Itself produced from 1995 to 2005.

This Chevrolet and the Ford would, of course, be answers to a possible rebirth of the cool Jeepster from Jeep.

Of course, anything convertible has a very limited appeal. And very few people buy 2-door vehicles these days. However, Ford still offers the Bronco in 2 two-door trim. And they look great and seem quite popular.

The current Blazer has already been canceled. And the Trailblazer is really not what this cool name should be used for. Whatever they would call it, a fun, affordable retro Blazer convertible would at least put a smile on a few faces…
