Chevrolet Corvette sports wagon.

Blasphemous? Maybe… But that wouldn’t be the first time ever. While the illustration on top shows what a 4 seater, modern Chevrolet Corvette wagon could look like, the idea isn’t new.
It dates back to the 1954 Chevrolet Nomad concept. Which was basically a family Corvette wagon designed by the great Harley Earl. Since there have been many ideas of what a wagon version of the Corvette could look like. Some kits in the 1960s were available. And even one a few years ago, based on the C8 Corvette.
So far, GM has kept the Chevrolet Corvette a 2-seater sports car with a V8. The biggest change is the current generation with its switch to a mid-engine design. However, there were a few rumors last year about GM coming up with a series of new Corvette models. Possible as part of a new Corvette family/sub-brand. And some model would even be based on GM’s Ultium platform.
This is basically what Porsche has been doing by opening up to SUVs, sedans, and even EVs. GM can see the numbers and dream of even larger profit margins.
Yes, a 4-seater Corvette wagon would be sacrilegeous to many. However, just like the new Porsche bodystyles, it could open up the brand to many new buyers who would not have considered a Corvette otherwise. And these “classic Corvette buyers” aren’t getting any younger.
Porsche still has the 911. More sports cars with a Corvette name could actually be quite interesting…
