Acura RSX.

Acura released a photo of a camouflaged prototype version of their upcoming all-new EV, the RSX, last year. A photo where we could really see what most of the cars will look like. Except for the front end. That has now been corrected with a brand new image released today.
And it looks a lot like the Acura Performance EV concept from 2024. As expected. The rest of the car seems much taller than the concept and not as dynamic. At least from what we can see of that camouflaged prototype.
Acura will show us the whole thing at the Monterey Car Week. Which starts today apparently. Acura is still calling the car we will see a “prototype”. That means we probably won’t see any of the interior. But that also means it could be a very close preview of the production model. Here is the short official word from Acura:
“The all-electric Acura RSX Prototype will make its global debut during the famed Monterey Car Week, the world’s top gathering of automotive and motorsports enthusiasts. A dynamically styled SUV based on the Acura Performance EV Concept, the Prototype previews the new Acura RSX that is set to arrive at Acura dealers in the second half of 2026. The Acura RSX will be the first model engineered on the new in-house-developed EV platform and mark the launch of the new proprietary ASIMO OS operating system introduced at CES 2025. Importantly, RSX also will be the first EV produced at the Honda EV Hub flexible manufacturing facility in Ohio, on the same production line as the Acura Integra, using domestic and globally made parts.”
This is all good news. The RSX will be Acura’s version of the all-new Honda 0 series SUV (or whatever it will end up being called). With, of course, its own design and interior. What is still a mystery is pricing. If it will fit under or above the $64,000 Acura ZDX. I guess it will fit under since it is quite a bit smaller. And something above $70,000 wouldn’t make any sense.
