2026 Mercedes CLA has great pricing in the US.

I think around $47,000 to start is the perfect price for the all-new Mercedes CLA EV sedan in the US. As you can see above, AWD is the usual $2000 extra.

Of course, being a German car, there are options. mainly an Exclusive Trim for an extra $2250. Or a Pinnacle trim for $5850. (With an optional wood trim and upgraded sound system, you can still stay under $50,000)

A panorama roof, memory seats, a 14-inch display, wireless CarPlay, and many other features are standard. It’s not a loaded car like the $42,500 Tesla Model 3 premium, but it’s not the drastic price difference you’d expect for a Mercedes.

The previous generation started at $45,500. That also makes the new Mercedes EV one a fantastic deal when compared to its predecessor. Not only do you get a next-generation car, but one with more expensive technology.

It seems that now CLA’s only competition in the US could be the Hyundai Ioniq 6 sedan. Another sedan with a small trunk opening that should have been a hatchback to begin with. The base model starts at around $37,000. The better-equipped SEL climbs up to around $45,000. If you want a panoramic roof, the $51,000 Limited is the only way to go. However, pricing for the revised 2026 model has not been announced yet, and it could be much cheaper. Especially after seeing a $10,000 price drop on the Ioniq 5 for 2026.

Mercedes will also soon release a PHEV trim. I am not sure, but I can’t imagine it being a much cheaper option.

  1. That is a good price, but I just bought an i4 M Sport this weekend. They discounted it $16,000, trying to get rid of the ’25s to make room for the ’26s. The CLA still has some ugly EQ styling in my opinion. And the interior is really cheap when you think about it. It’s super plain with nothing in there aside from a flat ugly screen. Go for the BMW instead, much better looks and you can get an M Sport for about $49k right now

  2. For at least the last 15 years and maybe more, I’ve thought the C class looked like a charicature of the other Mercedes sedans. A cheap copy in the worst way.
