Mercedes Vision V Concept.

When I saw these photos earlier today, I thought this was a joke.
And of course, no. This is a real thing designed by Mercedes. Where do I begin? The word gahsty doesn’t even begin to describe the monstrosity. A rolling temple to bad taste.
It seems Mercedes has been unable to design a decent front end for their vehicles for many years now. The EQ series front ends are pretty much a disaster. Their answer seems to be the new face of the new CLA sedan, which is horrible. And now this. An oversized flat piece of chrome surrounded by enough LEDs to light up Reno on New Year’s Eve.
This is a face only a deranged mother, or a high-ranking member of the Russian mafia, could love. It seems Mercedes doesn’t know what to do and is currently completely lost.
The rear end is equally bad. However, it seems more modern and much cleaner than the front. Still, imagine being stuck in traffic behind this thing at night….
There are no words to describe the interior. I guess this is Mercedes new idea of what luxury is. Like an expensive bordello on the outskirts of Vegas. Is that really what wealthy people want these days?
Something close to this will actually be produced. “The Vision V show car provides a glimpse of the top-end version”‘ is the official word.
