How about a new Chrysler 300?

I mean, would that really help Chrysler in any way?

The 2025 Dodge Charger has not been as popular as Stellantis thought. Of course, things will get better with time and the new inline 6 trims. They also added a 4-door version. Maybe a non-Turbo RWD, much cheaper model would help as well. At least they’re trying…

A new 300 for Chrysler could easily follow suit. Using the exact same STLA platform and powertrains. It’s all ready to go. A new, more formal design that would remind previous buyers of their cherished 300 sedans. All this could add to a few sales.

By the time the 300 was canceled, it had been far less popular than the Dodge Charger. This is probably why Stellantis poured some money into a new Charger generation. However, it seems the Chrysler 300 still has many fans and buyers who would be interested. I guess we’ll have to see how the 4-door Charger sedan is doing to see if Stellantis is ready to come up with another large 4-door car.

It’s still free to dream, and the illustration above shows what such a new Chrysler could look like. If Americans were still buying sedans, that is…

  1. A new Chrysler 300 should be just like the old one, but turned into a Cullinan-like crossover. It’s the same recipe that has always worked for Chrysler: luxury for less—and that’s what is en vogue for luxury right now.

Make it square! Suicide doors or weird sliding doors even!

  2. that front end is a nice render for a new 300. The back 3/4 … not so much. Chrysler needs something, and Stellantis has no idea what to do. I suggest they put that Hurricane V6 in it and push one out before all their brands die off in this country.

  3. Vince, I don’t blame your love for Chrysler as a company with former glory. The issue with today’s company is the poor leadership that seems to care about minivans. The company should either develop new models or split from Stellantis. The public is getting tired of the current leadership.
