2027 Kia Seltos.

The Kia Seltos is due for a complete redesign soon. This illustration shows what it could look like.

The official date for the launch is December 10th. A new hybrid version will be available as well as regular gas. Production of the new model will have to wait until August next year.

The new Kia Compact SUV looks like it will try to look a lot like the new 2027 Telluride. However, at least from the illustration above, the front grille looks a bit more normal than the cartoony design from the new Telluride. This might be different in the real production car.

The current Seltos started production in 2019. And it hasn’t been amazingly popular, with just over 45,600 units sold last year. Its best year was 2023 with 60,000 units. I personally have only seen 4 or 5 since it came out. And they seem pretty invisible. I guess that “small Telluride” look could help it stand out a bit. And I’m sure the Hybris option will make it more popular.

Kia seems to be in love with their recent blocky design language. In my opinion, it went too far with the new Telluride. I wonder if this look will really work on a much smaller vehicle like the Seltos…
