2026 Nissan Pathfinder changes.

As you can see from the images above, the Nissan Pathfinder SUV is getting a few changes for the 2026 model year. I guess it has been a pretty popular model for Nissan with very decent numbers. Since they sold almost 75,000 of them in the US last year.

Of course, even 75,000 is far below the best sellers in that category. Like the Honda Pilot that sold over 141,000 units last year alone. Still, a revised Pathfinder is yet more good news from Nissan. Whiuch has released a bunch of new and revised vehicles recently. Like the new Nissan Leaf, Sentra, and Murano. All within a year. And now the revised 2026 Pathfinder.

As you can tell, the main change outside is the new front end. It doesn’t seem necessary to be better looking, but it does fit with Nissan’s more recent designs. I guess that’s the main point of it.

The top-of-the-line Platinum trim now comes with new 20-inch wheels and wood trim inside. There’s also a brand new, larger 12.3-inch center screen. The cameras and phone charges have all been improved as well.

With a new Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride, the Nissan Pathfinder isn’t the new kid on the block anymore. But I personally think it looks much better than most 3-row SUVs out there. It also still has a super smooth 3.5 Liter V6, unlike many of its competitors. And the CVT had already been replaced by a 9-speed auto a few years ago. Its interior also seems really nice.

I don’t know, but the 2026 Pathfinder looks to me like a great choice if you need that many seats.

  1. At first glance the changes look like a typical mild refresh. Dig a little deeper and you’ll notice a few differences that surely had to be cost cutting. For example, the 2025 version offers a 10 way power driver seat on all but the base S trim, while the 2026 downgrades this to an 8 way power driver seat. On the passenger side, the 2025 offers a 10 way power seat on SL and Platinum, but on the 2026 it’s an 8 way power seat on the Platinum only. Also, the specs show no signs of any built-in navigation on any trim level of the 2026. The 2025 offered built in nav on the SL and Platinum.

  2. The OP and above are correct. It does look better and more modern, like the rest of the new Nissan products. You can see the cost cutting even in the front. The loss of the chrome V-motion style – chromed plastic is much more expensive than black painted plastic, which is the real reason we see so much black-out everything… its $$ per vehicle. I wouldn’t be surprised if the chromed accent on the lower doors becomes black soon. And the fog lights are now gone from the front. Any manufacturer that tells you those aren’t necessary because of LEDS is lying to you. Fog lights cast a wide low path, which LED headlights meant for regular driving CAN’T. They’re cost-cutting.

  3. For sure cost cutting going on. In addition to things already mentioned, no fog lights on any trim, not even the Rock Creek and they switched out leather on non Platinum models for their new “Tailorfit” material which is surely cheaper than actual leather. I get Nissan is in bad shape, but things like this is not what Nissan needs to be doing right now. They should be offering more for the money, not less. Granted some may argue they are offering more with the new 12 inch screen and improved wireless charger. I’d say those saying that are WRONG because the competition offers those things AND more for nearly the same price.

The redesign of the Telluride and this refresh will both be making their official debuts at the LA Auto Show…. I’ll give you one guess which one will get all the attention. Not this thing.
