New Mitsubishi SUVs coming soon.

Is Mitsubishi on a roll? Maybe. It just introduced a new Eclipse. Which, as we already know, is a Nissan Leaf clone. However,r that should keep some dealers happy with at least one new product. Now we hear about more on the way.

We’ve already mentioned a new Pickup truck. Which will again be a Mitsubishi version of a Nissan Product. In that case, the next Nissan Frontier. And of course, a brand new Pajero SUV will be sold here as the new Montero. But, that’s not all. Mitsubishi is getting ready to launch replacements for the Outlander and Outlander Sport in the US as well.

At a recent dealer meeting, Mitsubishi showed a brand new Outlander and Outlander Sport. The Outlander Sport is supposed to adopt a new off-road personality. Something that would compete against the Bronco Sport. It is due in late 2028 as a 2029 model. Extra off-road bits/options/trims are a great way for a car maker to make some quick cash these days. That pretend outdoorsy lifestyle you crave so much isn’t free you know…

Next will be the larger Outlander. Also due in 2028. Apparently it will be built on a new platform. As the current one is based on a Renault platform. (CMF-C/D). Which is still use for over 14 models from Renault, Nissan, Mitsubishi and even Mercedes.

This is all good news. Especially for Mitsubishi dealers in the US who will have 4 new models to sell within a couple of years. That means Mitsubishi could be a real brand again.

The illustrations above show what the next Outlander Sport, and Outlander could look like.

  1. Those headlights are so outdated from like 2015. The greenhouse out of style too before it is even in production. A 2nd generation Kia Seltos with its looks, this Mitsubishi wont stand a chance.

  2. I am going to disagree, it looks very modern. The greenhouse looks a bit small and weird with the back door, but it is supposed to be small.
