2027 Accord Refresh: Honda Says It’ll Feel Like a New Car.

Honda is preparing a refresh for the 2027 Accord sedan. While the 2027 Civic is expected to be all-new, including its platform and Hybrid powertrain, the Accord won’t be.

Which makes sense since it only came out in late 2022. 4 years would just be too early for a new generation. The revised front end is rumored to be inspired by the Honda Hybrid Prototype we saw a few months ago. Which is probably a close preview of the new Civic. Also rumors are the same powertrain. That would mean the Accord isn’t ready yet for a full Hybrid lineup. Unlike the Toyota Camry.

Honda suits have been keeping quiet on the Accord changes. Only to describe them as “pretty major” just last month. They also claim it will “feel like a new model”. Something I don’t believe I personally think the usual front and rear end design is in the cards, and not much more. Toyota also claimed the 2024 Camry was all-new, when it wasn’t. Only the front and rear ends were redesigned. As well as the interior. And they’ve been selling it as a new generation for the past few years, even though it’s not. It’s still basically a 2027 Camry.

It would also be nice to get an updated interior, since the current one was heavily inspired by the Civic. And later invaded most other Honda models. And it’s getting old… Of course, the screen will be even larger than it is now. Not needed but expected these days. And there’s a rumor Honda will bring that S+ shift doodad from the Prelude. Which is a totally useless gimmick. But again, people expect something different.

I am not sure the revised Accord will get the same new Hybrid system the new Civic will get. Since it might have been engineered for that new platform the Accord isn’t getting. At least not yet.

The image above shows what the revised Honda Accord would look for the 2027 model year. Which is probably coming in a few months.
