Acura Nexera Vision Concept.

When was the last time we saw a really good looking Acura? One that we actually would love to own and drive. I can’t remember myself. It’s just been too long. This new Nexera Vison Concept is in my uninformed and unprofessional opinion, the best looking Acura design in many, many years.

Of course the new concept mostly exists to introduce an new design language for Acura. And guess what, that design will be an SUV. As a matter of fact, we already know it will be the next generation RDX Hybrid. Which was already previewed a few months ago. And as far as we can see, all the new RDX is getting from the Nexera concept is the tail light design. Maybe it will adopt the nice curved display as well, but who knows…

The great looking concept is from the Acura California Studio in Los Angeles. And really, what it should become is the next Acura Integra. Of course, many will hope this could be the next NSX, but I disagree. As I really couldn’t care less about a new NSX. A car most of us will never see. A good looking design like this should be used on something most of us can afford.

Let’s hope Acura is really working on a new car influenced by this design. Instead if just tail lights for yet another SUV…
