Genesis GV90: New Spy Photo Reveals the Production SUV

We already know the all-new Genesis GV90 EV SUV will be introduced early next month. And we have seen so many spy shots and illustrations already. but today we have something a bit different.

The photo above is not great, but it strangely show one of the GV90 prototypes looking abandoned somewhere. As you can see, it will look very close to the Neolun concept we saw a few years ago. Which is a very good thing. At least it will look a bit original and will have a bit of personality. it won’t just be huge and expensive. 

The new giant Genesis EV  is rumored to be offered with a choice of 2 different sizes. Which is similar to what Cadillac is doing with the Cadillac Escalade IQ. Different sized prototypes have been spotted driving around over the past few months. 

The GV90 is expected to ride on Hyundai’s next-generation EV platform. Which is reportedly more advanced and efficient than the current architecture used in models like the Hyundai Ioniq 9. Another feature expected to make production is the use of coach doors. A.K.A “Suicide doors”. These were prominently featured on the Neolun concept and would add a level of exclusivity rarely seen outside ultra-luxury brands.

Early expectations point to a generous driving range. And that would really have to be over 400 miles to even be competitive. Considering the Escalade IQ’s range of over 460 miles. 

One thing is already certain: the GV90 will not be cheap. Its main competitor in the U.S., the Cadillac Escalade IQ, starts at over $130,000, and Genesis is unlikely to undercut it significantly if it wants to position the GV90 as a true flagship.
