New Hybrid Ford SUV Coming.

While Ford is working on a bunch of new cars for both the European and North American market, we know hear of a smaller SUV will be launched “before the end of the decade”. Which is quit vague.

The new Ford is rumored to start at under $25,000 in the US. Which would be quite interesting since the already compact bronco Sport now starts at around $32,000. A few months ago, there was a rumor about a brand new Ford Bronco model designed specifically for Europe. Which is probably smaller than out Bronco Sport. it makes you wonder if Ford just decided to bring over that smaller (and cheaper) model to the US as well.

The new SUV was shown at the same dealer meeting in Las Vegas where the upcoming 4 door Mustang was mentioned. It is only described as “boxy”. And resembling a bit the Bronco Sport. Auto News report that production could start in Mexico in 2029. 3 years is a pretty long time. That would also fit the schedule for an all-new Bronco Sport generation.

Unlike the new Ford Fathom pickup, the future SUV will not be based on the Universal EV Platform. At least as far as we cal tell since it will not be an EV. It will be offered with a regular gas or Hybrid powertrain. Which in 3 years, will be far from modern. Especially the gas-only option.
