$2000 seems to me to be a good bit cheaper.
Woah, that's very competitive pricing. Especially for such a decent lookin car. Hyundai/Kia is doin their thing hard right now!

I think the Forte is going to be a big hit for Kia. They now have three stellar models in their lineup (Soul, Borrego, Forte) and things will only improve once the new Sorento and Sportage hit. The Koreans are catching up very quickly!

I saw one at a dealership in MN yesterday. It was really sharp. First the Soul, now this. Kia's on a roll.
what a blatant copy of the civic, and the kia is worth $4K less when you drive off the lot. who would buy a used kia? or anew one for that matter?
I own a Civic EX sedan and parked my car next to a Forte. In person the two cars don't look that much alike. The Kia has sharper lines and seems to be a little longer than my car. The interior seemed to be very well put together. Kia has made great strides in improving the plastics and switch gear. If I woere in the market to trade my /civic today I would seriously consider one.
I'd buy a used Kia! Since the resale value has yet to keep up with it's flawless reliability, it will be a steal! I can see getting a fully loaded SX A/T after a year EASILY at $14,000! I'm actually looking forward most of all to the Koup…..and I'm not a fan of coupes! I think Kia and Hyundai will one day change all of our hearts.
Kia looks a lot cheaper, but look at all those option packages, those add up. The EX Civic has sunroof and alloys (and several other upgrades)standard. Would have to see a list of standard features side by side to make a real comparison. Don't think comparibly equipped will be that much different. Does the Kia have front, side and curtain airbags standard like even the DX Civic? Have we seen any safety ratings for the Kia yet?
But….the Kia doesn't have the Two-Tier Instrument Panel!

Yeah, but the Civic EX is still much more than the Forte with all of those options. You can get a loaded Forte with leather for under 19K and Civic EX-L is well into the 20's.
As for safety, the Kia comes standard with stability control, something the Civic doesn't have (EX-L does). It also has six airbags just like the Civic.
Yawn the Forte looks like a civic is so old now. What about the back of the Pilot looks like a scion XB? Gee they don't look that much alike anyway, the Civic's greenhouse looks more like the first gen Toyota Prius and the tailights looks like an Audi A4 and the headlights looked more like a 2002 Galant than this nice looking Forte. As for the Accord, the tailights came for the Mazda CX-7.
You have to get the EX to get air….

The back Camry has Acura TL's headlights and the Ford Edges tailights came from the Legacy. The face of the Toyota Vensa looks like an Edge. The tailights from the Sebring is on the new Galant and the Accord's tailights does look like the CX-7 just open up two windows and look for yourself. The HHR's tailghts came from a Durango. The Sebring's headlights looks like a Galant's. The talights from the Malibu came from the BMW models or and the headlishts are from the Mercedes C class. The Civic does look like the 1st gen Prius with Acura A4's tailights. I aint' got to give up for nothing.

I don't mean clone I mean simular shapes and designs. For example, the Camry's headlights favors the Acura TL's headlights. The Saturn Aurua headlights looks like the Toyota Avalon's. But, make exuses for everyone else because If I said the Rio looked like a Bentley it's true but when it comes to others it's B.S. So Everyone else is orignal except the Koreans. Lol. The Mercedes CLK doens't look like the 1st gen Highlander. It's original. Ok Mr. Magoo.
Now that you mention it, my Outlander's tailights remind me of the Lexus RX. And the side of my Outlander that thick pillar the D pillar reminds me of the Vibe and Mazda 3 hatch. Hmmm, the Aurua does have the Avalon's headlights at least the shape. The new Forester's headlights reminds me of my Outlander. The Tundra reminds me of the VW Iroc concept (just in the face)or the new Lancer. I'm going to start paying more attention.
